The Malaysian Gregory Binunus made a sworn statement submitted to the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) revealing that he met Deniece Cornejo at a club and got free use of a Forbeswood Heights condo where the mauling incident involving Vhong Navarro occurred.
According to Gregory or Greg Binunus he first met Deniece Cornejo during a party in Malate last December 2013. After their meeting the model stated sending text messages to him, looking for a place to stay as reported by ABS-CBN.
Gregory Binunus revealed to the NBI that he offered the condominium unit he was renting from a certain Soledad Ramos, and allowed Deniece Cornejo to stay for two months for free, starting on January 15, 2014.
The Malaysian clarified that he only allowed Cornejo to use the condo unit for two months since his sibling will be coming back from Malaysia by then and will be using the unit.
Greg Binunus added further that he did not ask rent payment from Deniece Cornejo, because subleasing is not allowed at Forbeswood Heights. The Malaysian also said that he was unaware of the January 22 mauling of the actor Vhong Navarro and the alleged case filed by Cornejo until he was told by Soledad Ramos, the owner of the condo unit.
The only thing the Malaysian know about the incident happening at his rented condo unit was the alleged robbery told by Cornejo to him on January 23, 2014. He hen reported the alleged robbery incident to the owner, who in turn informed him of the mauling incident.
Meanwhile on the official affidavit of the legitimate owner of the condominium unit at Forbeswood Heights, Soledad Ramos, said that she does not personally know Deniece Cornejo.
