DepEd: 2014 Graduation for Public Schools is March 27 & 28

The Department of Education (DepEd) announced that March 27 and 28, 2013 is the scheduled of graduation ceremony for all public schools in the Philippines based upon DepEd Order #10 series of 2013.

The graduation ceremony in both Public Elementary and High School in the Philippines was announced through DepEd spokesman and (–foul word(s) removed–)istant Secretary Tonisito Umali.

DepEdThe DepEd also noted that there should be no force collection of graduation fees among graduating students nationwide. However, DepEd reminded that they will not hinder all the principals, Parents Teachers (–foul word(s) removed–)ociations (PTA’s) of public schools to make a collection for graduation fees for a memorable occasion.

The collection should be agreed by both parties but will never be a requirement for graduating students. The collection of graduation fee should not be a hindrance for students who cannot afford to pay for their graduation fees during graduation rites.

DepEd has its own policy when it comes to preparing for this ceremonial graduation event. Guidelines such as the “No Collection” of graduation fees and enforcing students to submit non-academic projects as requirement to graduate is strictly prohibited.

According to the Department of Education, all graduation ceremonies in public schools nationwide should be simple but memorable ceremony for graduating students.

  3. Hi. Does this article apply only for the public schools? I’ve heard there are private schools who does not allow students with unpaid school fees to join the graduation practice and also they are not going to be allowed to join the graduation rites as well. I would understand if they will withhold the credentials but not allowing students to join the rites would only give them heartbreak and may result in those students to lose interest in continuing to college.
