The announcement of the movie “Girl, Boy, Bakla, Tomboy” as the highest grossing Pinoy Film of all time was made available through its producer Star Cinema.
The MMFF-entry movie dominated the box office results of the Metro Manila Film Festivals after they surp(–foul word(s) removed–)ed the box office returns of the former No. 1 top grossing movie, My Little Bossings.
The Girl, Boy Bakla, Tomboy breaks the record set by Sisterakas during the year 2012 as the all-time highest grossing Pinoy film which also features Vice Ganda. Sisterakas earned a total of P393 Million during its theatrical run, the record set by the movie was already broken last January 10, 2014.
Star Cinema announced the achievement of Girl, Boy, Bakla, Tomboy during a thanksgiving party attended by box office director Wenn Deramas, ABS-CBN Charo Santos-Concio, Star Cinema head Malou Santos, and co-producer Viva Films’ June Rufino.
