PAGASA: LPA Update January 16-17 (5PM-5AM) Bulletin

The Philippine weather bureau PAGASA reported that the Low Pressure Area (LPA) did not intensify into a typhoon based upon their latest weather bulletin posted at around 5:00 PM on Thursday, January 16, 2014.

PAGASA reported that at around 4:00 PM today, the Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated based on all available data at 210 kilometers East of Guiuan, Eastern Samar with coordinates at 11.0ºN, 128.0ºE. The Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) will affect the island of Luzon.

Here’s the Latest PAGASA Weather Bulletin (5-PM-5AM) Jan. 16-17, 2014:

Forecasts:

The Regions of Eastern Visayas, CARAGA, and Northern Mindanao will experience Cloudy Skies with Moderate to Occasionally Heavy Rainshowers and Thunderstorms which may trigger Flash floods and Landslides.

The rest of the Visayas, Davao Region and Zamboanga Peninsula will have Cloudy skies with Light to Moderate Rainshowers and Thunderstorms.

Cagayan Valley and Bicol Region and the Province of Aurora will be Cloudy with Light Rains. Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will be partly Cloudy to Cloudy with Isolated Light Rains.

The rest of Mindanao will be partly Cloudy to Cloudy with Isolated Rainshowers or Thunderstorms. Moderate to Strong Winds blowing from the Northeast will prevail over Luzon and Visayas and coming from the Northeast to Northwest over Mindanao.

Coastal Waters throughout the Archipelago will be Moderate to Rough.
