LPA “Agaton” Weather Bulletin January 13-14 (5PM-5AM)

The Philippine weather bureau PAGASA released their 5:PM weather bulletin of the Low Pressure Area that currently affects major provinces of the Mindanao and Visayas ares causing flash floods and landslides.

Moderate to heavy rains due to the LPA has rendered some roads in CARAGA (Region 13) and Davao Region (Region 11) imp(–foul word(s) removed–)able as confirmed by the national government. The DPWH have already reported landslides, road slips and floods in different parts of the region.

According to the January 13 (5PM-5AM) updates of PAGASA at around 4:00 AM today, the Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated based on all available data at 45 Kilometers East of Dipolog City with coordinates at (8.7ºN, 123.7ºE). The Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) will affect the Northern and Central Luzon areas.

Visayas and the Regions of Northern Mindanao and CARAGA will experience Cloudy Skies with Moderate to Occasionally Heavy Rainshowers and Thunderstorms which may trigger Flash Floods and Landslides.

The Bicol Region, MIMAROPA and the rest of Mindanao will have Cloudy Skies with Light to Moderate Rainshowers and Thunderstorms. Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will be Cloudy with Isolated Light Rains.

Moderate to Strong Winds blowing from the Northeast will prevail over Luzon and Visayas and coming from the Northeast to Northwest over Mindanao. The Coastal waters throughout the archipelago will be moderate to Rough.
