After Bea Rose Santiago declared as Miss International 2013, another Filipina beauty queen from Cebu Angeli Dione Gomez was also hailed as Miss International Tourism for the year 2013/2014 held during New Year’s Eve in Putrajaya, Malaysia.

Even though 20-year-old Angeli Dione Gomez faced various and great contenders, still she was able to beat the Thailand’s Sunid(–foul word(s) removed–) Srisuwan and Malaysia’s Sarah Czarnuch, who were placed second and third, respectively.
According to the report of New Straits Times Angeli Dione Gomez said, “The first thing I plan to do is to meet my family, whom I have not met for about one month, and have a nice breakfast with them tomorrow.”
Last year, it can be remembered that Rizzini Alexis Gomez won the crown for Miss International Tourism and was followed by Angeli Dione Gomez.
New Straits Times added to their report that Angeli Dione Gomez will be tasked as travelling amb(–foul word(s) removed–)ador to promote informal international relations between countries to spread the message of peace, goodwill and friendship.
In regard with this winning, Angeli Dione Gomez victory is the latest in a string of victories for the Philippines in international beauty pageants.
