Facebook user Marvin Jason Royeca posted the photo of a 75-year-old taxi driver on Facebook which went viral after it was shared thousand of times on Facebook, even landing as one of the trending topics on the social networking site.

Marvin Jason Royeca was curious enough during the time when he took a cab and he asked the driver of its age. He also asked the 75-year-old driver on what kept him working as a cab driver, Lolo Ignacio explained that he needed to support his family and grandchildren.
The concerned citizen, Marvin Royeca took picture of Lolo Alejandro M. Ignacio and posted it on Facebook with the following caption.
“This lolo needs some help :c I talked to this old guy while going to Greenhills.. Siya kasi nasakyan ko na taxi.. and I was a little curious how old he is so I asked.. he’s turning 76 years old this January he said. This guy should be in the home for the aged or in the house resting… yet he’s driving a taxi cab just to support his grandchildren.. sabi niya sa ‘kin “kelangan ko talaga na mag drive ng taxi kahit alam ko na matanda na ‘ko at dapat nasa bahay na ‘ko.. my kids are drug addicts kaya namatay ng maaga or broken family sila kaya sa ‘kin iniiwan ang mga apo ko. ‘Yung asawa ko naman patay na. Wish ko nga sana may makaalam ng life story ko tulad ng wish ko lang or mmk para naman matulungan ako para pwede ako magnegosyo na lang. Di ko nga alam if tatagal pa ‘ko natatakot ako sa mga apo ko.” I almost cried hearing him say that. The post made by Marvin Jason Royeca went viral and reached its intended target, the GMA Network TV Program “Wish Ko Lang.” Lolo Ignacio’s life story was featured on the top-rating show last December 7, 2013. The simple photo taken by Marvin got the attention of major networks and changed his life and the future of his children and grandchildren.
He’s now planning to run for president. He already submitted his CoC in COMELEC during the first day of filing.
