The Red Lions continued their dominance in the Philippines oldest collegiate basketball league, the NCAA as they earned their 18th championship, the most number of titles in NCAA history.

One of the most interesting and crucial play of the game was when Ola Adeogun of San Beda blocked a potential game-tying layup by Letran Knights aside from making two free throws in the dying seconds of the game.

PBA-bound Raymond Almazan, the NCAA 2013 MVP made some impressive performances down low but his effort was not enough to lead his team for a title before making it to the PBA in the next few days.

San Beda’s Art Dela Cruz was named as the Most Valuable Player in the Finals as he led the Red Lions with 20 points, 16 rebounds, and three (–foul word(s) removed–)ists. Ola Adeogun added with 17 points for the champion team the Red Lions.

NCAA MVP Raymond Almazan, a draft pick by Rain or Shine, scored with 14 points, while Mark Cruz and Rey Nambatac added with 10 points apiece for the Letran Knights who failed to get back at San Beda, the team that defeated them last year’s NCAA finals.
