Philippine Azkals Released Line Up vs. UAE for Next Week’s Football Friendly

The Philippine Azkals have already released the national team’s line-up on Thursday, November 1, 2013 against one of the toughest team in Asia, the United Arab Emirates for the FIFA International friendly match this coming week.

The Azkals game against the United Arab Emirates is part of the team’s preparation for the upcoming AFC Challenge Cup to be held in Maldives. The Philippines which is currently ranked as the second-best team in Southeast Asia at 137th overall will face the 89th-ranked UAE Team this coming November 9, 2013.

The Philippines vs. UAE match will be held at the Zayed Sports City Stadium in Abu Dhabi, after the Middle East game the team is set to take on India on November 15, 2013.

German Coach Hans Michael Weiss was able to call up only a few of the team’s foreign-based players, who include Rob Gier, Jerry Lucena, Ray Jonsson, Juani Guirado and Patrict Reichelt. They will join the Philippine-based players Phil and James Younghusband and Chieffy Caligdong.

Aside from the above-mentioned players, completing the line-up are Amani Aguinaldo, Marwin Angeles, Misagh Bahadoran, Jerry Barbaso, Jeffrey Christiaens, Angel Guirado, Jason De Jong, Mark Hartmann and Ed Sacapano of Global FC; OJ Porteria and Chris Greatwich of Kaya FC and Patrick Deyto of Green Archers.

Azkals prominent goalkeeper Neil Etheridge will not be available for the team’s friendly match against UAE. Other players who are not available are Stephan Schrock, Dennis Cagara, Paul Maulders, Javier Patino, and Denis Wolf.
