Kapamilya actress Jessy Mendiola will showcase her acting skills as she plays the lead role in the newest teleserye offering of ABS-CBN, titled “Maria Mercedes,” which will premiere this coming October 7, 2013.
The Philippines largest network ABS-CBN already released the full trailer of Maria Mercedes, a remake of Thalia’s telenovela trilogy featuring the character of “Maria.”
The 20-year-old Jessy Mendiola is a member of the Star Magic Batch 15 together with Miss World Philippines 2013 Megan Young who is currently competing in Indonesia for the Miss World title.
Aside from Jessy Mendiola, the “Maria Mercedes” teleserye will also feature Dominic Ochoa, Vina Morales, Nadia Montenegro, Nikki Gil, Devon Seron, Ariel Rivera, Yogo Singh and Vivian Velez. The series is directed by award-winning director Chito Roño and Rechie del Carmen.
