The Ateneo Blue Eagles defeated the Far Eastern University Tamaraws on Wednesday, August 28 with the final score at 92-73 during the second round matchup in UAAP Season 76 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
With the Blue Eagles win, the team made their fifth straight victory since struggling during the early round of the competition. Ateneo’s team standing now stands at 6-4 win-loss card while the FEU still ranked no. 1 with an 8-3 win-loss card.
The Ateneo Blue Eagles led by as much as 33 points with the leadership of Juami Tiongson who scored a career-high 20 points while Ateneo superstar Keifer Ravena had a strong 18 points, 9 rebounds and 5 (–foul word(s) removed–)ists contribution. The Blue Eagles started strong with a 26-8 attack in the first quarter.
The Blue Eagles avenged their previous loss against the FEU Tamaraws, during their first encounter FEU won with the final score at 79-75 in overtime.
