Richard Yap was named as one of the “Men Who Matter” in the latest issue of People Asia magazine, for its June-July 2013 issue. The “Be Careful With My Heart,” actor joined 11 other male personalities for the elite list.
People Asia included Richard Yap on its annual list for his breakthrough performance in the Kapamilya Channel’s daytime series. The 46-year-old star was able to capture the younger audience commonly dominated by younger celebrities.
According to People Asia columnist Bum Tenorio, Jr., in his “Men Who Matter” story, he noted the “adulation” for the Kapamilya star by Filipino viewers. Richard Yap joined accomplished male personalities from different fields.
The elite list of “Men Who Matter” includes the following personalities:

- Penshoppe founder Bernie Liu
- California Pizza Kitchen and IHOP’s Archie Rodriguez
