A Canadian comedienne currently based in the United Kingdom, identified as Katherine Ryan, earned the ire of local netizens after she used Filipino children as the subject on her punchline in “Mock the Week,” game show that air on BBC.
The segment features some participants who were asked to say unlikely lines from cosmetics commercial. The 29-year-old Katherine Ryan was quoted as saying that, “We don’t use any of our products on animals. We use Filipino children.” she stated.
A video-clip was uploaded to YouTube last June 13, after that it received negative comments among netizens especially Filipinos who think that the comments made by Ryan was below the belt.
