Aurora Representative Edgardo M. Angara more popularly known as “Sonny Angara,” was born on July 15, 1972. He is running for a Senatorial seat this coming May 2013 Elections.
Congressman Angara, is the son of Former Senate President and incumvent Edgardo J. Angara and Mrs. Gloria M. Angara. Sonny Angara was elected as Representative of the Lone District of Aurora since 2004 until 2010 his third term.
Sonny Angara hold some important positions in the Lower House of the Philippines, he is the current chairperson of the House Committee on Higher and Technical Education, an ex-officio member of the Board of Regents of the University of the Philippines.
Angara is currently in the 6th-12th positions on the latest Pulse Asia pre-election survey. He confirmed that he already spend P10 Million on ads ahead of the formal election campaign period which starts today, February 12, 2013.
