Japeth Aguilar Roster Spot in the Sta. Cruz Warriors (Video)

The first Filipino to play in the Development League of the NBA, Japeth Aguilar hopes to land a spot in the 10-man roster spot in the Sta. Cruz Warriors in the coming season which will tip off next week.

Aguilar showed some basketball prowess and skills during their practice game with the Warriors, the NBA D-League affiliate of the Golden State Warriors.

The former Gilas, was chosen by the Warriors in the seventh round as the 109th overall pick and his US-based Fil-Am agent Chris McGarry was confident with his ability that he will make it to the top 10 of the Warriors.

Japeth who stands at 6’9″ already survived the first two cuts and will join 11 other Warriors in the two preseason games before the final 10-man roster for the season will be revealed next week.

The Warriors have already waived Mollet and Mutombo the other day while Moore, Robinson and Tchiengang were already given the pink slip meaning they were already waived from the team which leaves Aguilar as the lowest draftee left in the roster.

Hopefully Aguilar will make the final 10-man roster of the Sta. Cruz Warriors playing as a hybrid power forward but before the announcement of the final line-up, Aguilar will join the Warriors in a Pre-season game against Tulsa 66ers and Texas Legends.
