69th Venice Film Festival List of Winners Revealed

The 2012 Venice Film Festival, one of the most popular film festival in the world have already released it’s list of winners. The award-giving body named the most phenomenal films from different parts of the world.

The film from Singapore titled “Pieta” directed by Kim-Ki Duk received the highest award, the Golden Lion Award or the Best Picture awards of the recently concluded 69th Venice Film Festival.

The Philippines lone entry to the festival, the movie topbilled by Nora Aunor and was directed by Brillante Mendoza titled “Thy Womb” also received special recognition.

Brillante Mendoza was awarded with P. Nazareno Taddei Award (Special Mention) while Nora Aunor was awarded with Bisato d’ Oro Award,  and the movie Thy Womb was awarded with La Navicella-Venezia Cinema Award.
