Celebrities reach out to the victims of Tropical Storm “Sendong”

As number of death toll in affected areas continues to rise, celebrities and other institutions find their ways to extend their help to the victims of typhoon “Sendong” by giving donations and participating in various outreach programs in affected areas.

Artists from Kapamilya network have voluntarily cancelled their holiday schedules to fly among those areas who were badly hit by the typhoon particularly in Cagayan de Oro, Iligan City and Dumagute.

Among those celebrities who volunteered in relief operation were Vice Ganda, Angel Locsin, Anne Curtis and Kris Aquino. The four went to Cagayan de Oro yesterday to give some food and water to the residents in the city.

Despite their hectic schedules, Aquino and Vice Ganda have plead to the public that they will be making ways to provide help in their full capacity to ease the burden and sadness of those affected people.

According to Kris, they spend about 24 hours repacking the goods that they will give to the residents and it was with the effort and help of her friends and house made that made it possible and for that she is very thankful.

Vice Ganda on the other hand told reporters that he is really eager to help those people by sharing the blessings that he received this year and also he encourages his fellow artist to extend their help by donating any amount to the foundation of ABS-CBN.

Locsin also explained that they brought cameras with them not to expose their actions to the public and boost their popularity but rather to persuade fellow celebrities to be involved with any activities that provide help to the victims of “Sendong”.

People’s Champ and Saranggani Representative Manny Pacquiao have also made a promise to send drinking waters and foods to people of CDO and Iligan City.
