Pixar Animation Studios, the company that was founded by the late Apple’s CEO Steve Jobs had once again released another highly anticipated feature film which will make its theatrical debut on June 22, 2012. The movie titled “Brave” will be the thirteenth feature film from Pixar.
Pixar which made a significant contribution in the film industry since the released of the most popular feature film in Disney’s history the Toy Story last 1995 and from then on never looked back. The movie “Brave” will be the first film to be released since the death of its founder Steve Jobs.
Steve Jobs served as Pixar’s CEO until it was acquired by Disney in 2006 for a staggering amount of $7.4 billion. Steve Jobs made his own company, the Pixar Animation Studios and the Next Computer after he was replaced as CEO of Apple.
The feature film “Brave” stars Kelly Macdonald as Merida, Emma Thompson as Queen Elinor, Billy Connolly as King Fergus, Craig Ferguson as Lord Macintosh, Robbie Coltrane as Lord Dingwall and Julie Walters as a witch.
Brave follows the story of a young woman from the Highlands of Scotland. She will defy the family tradition on the course of her own journey and her self-discovery. The story is an exploration of the role of tradition and the true nature of bravery.
The main character of the story is Merida whicch stars Kelly MacDonald.
The film was directed by Mark Andrews who replaced Brenda Chapman.
