After a month of waiting, saltwater crocodile, Lolong is now officially declared as the longest and biggest crocodile in the world that was captured.

The announcement was made by one of the members of National Geographic team, zoologist Dr. Adam Briton after he personally came to the Philippines and see Lolong.

According to Briton, by taking a look to Lolong, undoubtedly he has surp(–foul word(s) removed–)ed the length of the current title holder as the longest and biggest crocodile in the world which is named C(–foul word(s) removed–)ius caught in Australia and is also a saltwater crocodile.

Dr. Adam was the one sent by the Guinness World Record back in 2008 to measure C(–foul word(s) removed–)ius and declared it as the longest and biggest reptile in captivity.

Together with Briton who took the length of Lolong is councilor of Bunawan, Apollo Canoy. In Canoy’s final tally of measurement, Lolong reached to 6.12 meters or 20 feet and 4inches in size, much bigger compare to C(–foul word(s) removed–)ius who only measured 5.48 meters or 17 feet and 11.75 inches.

Lolong was captured last September at Agusan Marsh, after the villagers have decided to seize him for being a threat in the place and suspected that has taken several lives of the villagers living nearby. On the other hand, C(–foul word(s) removed–)ius was caught in the year 1984 and was put into a park.

In a statement given by Briton to the daily inquirer, he expressed that he was amazed after seeing Lolong in person and added that truly the saltwater crocodile caught in Agusan is the longest and biggest croc in the world.
