Multi-awarded artist Maricel Soriano who also recognized as the “Diamond Star” faced charges on Thursday after showing an anomalous behaviour against her two housekeepers namely May Cachuela and Camille Acojedo.
Both maids guested in a television program entitled “Isumbong Mo Kay Tulfo” which was aired live on Thursday to report further details regarding the incident.
Cachuela was asked to arrange Soriano’s clothes to be used for a certain showbiz appointment set for the said actress. Seemingly unsatisfied, Soriano violently kicked the legs of this 22-year-old maid. The housemaid also told reporters that even the son of the famous female artist named Sebastian had seen the hurtful situation. Sebastian pitied Cachuela so he pleaded his mother to stop hurting the maid.
Such incident took place at around 8pm in Rockwell’s Rizal Tower where the residence of the Filipina actress is situated.
An additional accusation was also filed against the female actress when Acojedo, 18, told the authorities that the female actress was using prohibited drugs as well. Acojedo, who is also one of Soriano’s house keepers, speculated that this could be the reason why Soriano had recently been showing a strange and unwanted attitude.
Reporters were trying to communicate with the female actress but failed to present her side since Soriano was not answering their phone calls.
However, Inday Castillo identified to be the personal (–foul word(s) removed–)istant of Maricel Soriano told the media via phone call that there is no truth behind those accusations. Castillo even added that the two maids were only inventing their stories.
Both Cachuela and Acojedo had served at Soriano’s residence for as short as two weeks.
On the other hand, the award-winning actress also had a complaint history recorded in a certain village of Makati City when she wasn’t able to pay their househelper’s salary for three months.
