Two tremors hit New Zealand four months after 6.3 quake

christchurchFour months after the magnitude 6.3 quake hitting Christchurch, New Zealand, two more tremors struck the island making residents worry and be on fear.

The earthquake striking New Zealand last February had been the cause of death of 181 people. Further, properties and buildings have been devastated also including the Christchurch Cathedral.

The first tremor with 5.2 magnitude took place six miles from Christchurch city, to be exact at the Taylors Mistake beach. Then, after an hour and 20 minutes, another quake came in with a magnitude of 6.0.

The second quake resulted to injuries to number of people and destruction of a building.

It was not the first tremors taking place at Christchurch, in fact, several quakes and aftershocks were reported causing evacuation to people from crowded areas.

People at New Zealand especially in Christchurch were enveloped with fear.

One of the affected infrastructures in Christchurch was its historic Cathedral wherein further collapse and damage in its structure are taking place. Authorities were trying to get clearer view on how to minimize the damage especially in continues and unpredictable attack of aftershocks.

The said February quake happening in Christchurch was one of the notable and devastating earthquake occurred in New Zealand,leading to deaths and damage of properties. Roads and bridges were damaged so problems in transportation took off as well as airport was shutdown to protect the p(–foul word(s) removed–)engers.

Reports shows that the February quake had been the reason of 10,000 houses and 1,000 buildings were set to be demolished.

So far, residents in Christchurch were finding better ways to fastly recover from the quake.

Big amount of money were needed to fully recover and drew back their lives to normal.

Authorities were looking forward to close monitoring to Christchurch and people were reminded to stay calm but alert.
