Infragard, FBI partner attacked by LulzSec, passwords taken

infragardLONDON – Lulz Security, the hackers behind the attacked for PBS.com and Sonypictures.com just a few days ago had successfully launched another hacking activity and this time, they had taken 180 passwords from Infragard, an affiliate of the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation.

In a statement released by President Paul Farley of Infragard Atlanta Members Alliance, he had said that as of this time, they were still determining how the attacked was made and how were the hackers had accessed the network, and they were suspecting that someone had really put Infragard in a compromising status.

LulzSec had posted the sample of the data they had taken online and in fact, they boasted that by using only one of the password, they had gathered almost a thousand of personal information from some officials of the said FBI affiliate.

The launched took place after Pentagon’s was quoted in their plan whether to consider cyber attacks as a form of war.

Infragard served as the extension senses of FBI in their quest of sharing information and intelligence reports concerning the safety and threats for America.

Regarding to the reported attack of stolen passwords, members of Infragard were advised to change passwords as soon as possible to minimize threats and access to their information

The popular internetspeak “Laugh out Loud” or LoL was also credited from LulzSec, for these hackers were best known for conducting attacks for those websites that were not strongly protected simply for fun.

To recall, PBS.com was hacked and fake news were posted on the sites, while millions of information including music codes were taken from SonyPictures.com. And LulzSec was the brain behind this series of website attacks. LulzSec said that for the attacked they had made for SonyPictures, a single SQL string was used and there they go.
