Another Filipina drug courier was facing a possible death penalty in Malaysia. Aida Dizon Garcia was caught by Malaysian authorities carrying an 11.9kg of cannabis, more popularly known as marijuana in November. The drugs found in her luggage estimated worth was 17,800 Ringgit.

The 51 year old college lecturer from Quezon City, Philippines was arrested at around  5:30 AM on November 27 near South Bound Plaza along the North-South Expressway after she embarked from a bus coming from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. She was travelling as a tourist from Thailand.

According to Government lawyer Wan Shaharuddin Wan Ladin, Dizon have pleaded not guilty of the crime. Dizon was given a lawyer by the Malaysian government upon asking for one for the reason that she could not afford to get a lawyer from Malaysia.

Her lawyer asked the court for re-mentioned which will be  scheduled on April 20 by the approval of Judicial Commissioner Ahmad Nasfy Y(–foul word(s) removed–)in.
