Pinky Aquino-Abellada was in Negros yesterday February 11, 2011 for the turn over of two preschool buildings; one in Antipuluhan Elementary School at Bago City, another one in Crispino V. Ramos Elementary School at Bacolod City.

San Miguel Corporation funded the Antipuluhan Elementary School while Dr. Vicki Belo’s Ike and Nena Belo Fondation funded the CV Ramos Elementary School.

The donation was made through AGAPP.

Kris Aquino introduced Belo to Pinky Abellada. Belo told that Education is very important to everyone, that’s why as she heard about Pinky’s advocacy she was so inspired.

According to her she is looking to somebody whom she can trust so that the money she has donated will not be wasted but spent properly and she found the right person, Pinky.

Belo will add four ceiling fans to the new CV Ramos Preschool cl(–foul word(s) removed–)room.  Belo’s foundation also funded the renovation of Children’s Cancer Ward and Hematology Center treatment room at Philippine Children’s Medical Center in Quezon City.

AGAPP hope to reach 50 preschool cl(–foul word(s) removed–)rooms on June 30, 2011 which is PNoy’s Birthday, and by the end of the President’s term it would reach 1000 cl(–foul word(s) removed–)room hopefully.

Abellada  said that compared to ten years ago, the highest drop out was in grade five to six, but now statistics  shows that the highest dropout is between grade one and three. She encourage the pupils in Negros to study hard  as she remembered what her late father always said to them that education is one thing no one could ever takes away.

A detailed study in Cebu shows that those who went preschool surely p(–foul word(s) removed–)ed grade one. Aquino’s sister helps AGAPP by finding funds for building preschool at a reasonable cost.

According to NVC president Millie Kilayko, Senator Osmenia also committed for the construction of a halfway house in Suntown Camps for children and parents who have cancer. Abellada is thankful that the Negrense loved their parents and now trusted PNoy. She said that until their death she promised to work and repay all the love that was shown to their family.
