A 10 round of boxing was held today, January 30, 2011, at Waterfront Hotel and Casino, Cebu City, Philippines between Rey Bautista and Alejandro Barrera and ended at 2 minutes 56 seconds at round 3 in favor of Boom-boom Bautista.

Boom-boom Bautista with 30 wins, 23 knock out and 2 lost has once again proves himself as the champion. On the other hand Alejandro Barrera with 21 wins has lost this fight.

ALA Promotions president Michael Aldeguer said that boom-boom is back. “He worked hard in the gym and he showed that he still has it.” He added.

Barrera has won before by knocking out Bautista on their first fight. Now boom-boom a 24 year old professional boxer is trying hard to win the second fight.

Barrera has landed solid punches on the first round and Bautista is trying to fight back. While on the second round, Bautista has recovered hitting Barrera badly causing his nose to bleed.

On the third round, both fighters are still standing in good condition until Bautista hit Barrera in the body with his strong left hand. The referee counted on Barrera and continues the fight. But on 2 minutes and 56 seconds boom-boom penetrated Barrera again and ended the fight.

Bautista did not expect to knock down his opponent during the interview. He said that he is open for another fight and that would depend on his manager.
