An Australian cancels his flight and return to Baguio, just to attend the honest taxi driver’s honoring ceremony who return his lost luggage in a cab.

There are numerous statements and testimonies circulating in the social media about the honest taxi drivers in Metro Manila and other regions all around the Philippines, which was proved by a certain taxi driver in Baguio by doing another good deed that shows the honesty of the Filipino drivers.

The honest taxi driver in Baguio was identified as Mr. Reggie Cabututan, who’s driving a Dustin Brant Taxi. Reggie returned the lost luggage of his Australian passenger named Trent, who totally forgot his baggage after arriving at Calle Uno Coworking Space.

The Australian’s luggage was containing valuables including some amount of cash, Mac Book Pro Laptop, and his passport. The taxi driver wasn’t tempted to own the luggage instead; he immediately lends the baggage at the police station.

Trent was also at the same police station to file a report regarding his lost luggage, good thing the taxi driver welcomed Trent with a smile to return the lost luggage containing valuables.

On Saturday (January 21, 2016), a netizen named Ace Estrada posted the story on Facebook. Ace was the Filipino friend of Trent. Ace said that his Australian confirmed that Filipino taxi drivers were completely honest.

“Never did I pray so hard that the news accounts of Baguio City’s taxi driver’s collective honesty were true. But it was! Just as we were leaving the police station to file a report, Trent’s taxi pulled in,” wrote by Estrada quoted by Kickerdaily.

The taxi driver was invited to City Hall to attend a flag ceremony to recognize his honesty. Trent canceled his flight on Sunday (January 22, 2017) just to attend the honoring ceremony of Cabututan on Monday (January 23, 2017).
