Footage of the funeral in the southern Taiwanese City of Chiayi caught the attention of the netizens on the social media.

In a recent news report of Taiwan News, the event was a part of a funeral ceremony for a Taiwanese politician, a local councilor Tung Hsiang.
It was attended by People First Party Chairman James Soong, Chiayi County Magistrate Helen Chang, legislators and county council members.
Tung, was a well-known politician in Chiayi that has reportedly died of an illness in December at 76 years old.
During his funeral, he was sent off by the female pole dancers in black bikinis while performing on top of multi-coloured jeeps as a band played. The event was reportedly planned and organized by his son.
In a report of local CTS news channel, the family of Tung shared to the media that he liked socializing with people as he served as Chiayi County councilman and council speaker for several terms.
They also said that he liked fun so they wanted to send him off in a memorable way.
“He told us he wanted this through a dream two days before the funeral,” his brother Tung Mao-hsiung told CTS.
The Funeral procession for Chiayi County Council Speaker Tung Hsiang was several kilometers in length.
It was accompanied by traditional bands, more than 100 imported luxury cars, drummer troupes and 50 girls pole dancing on top of 50 jeeps. The unique procession attracted much attention and many passersby stopped to watch, take photos or shoot video.
