Banking Hours Schedule For Christmas, New Year Released

You can now fix your schedule for the holidays because the schedule of banking hours for Christmas and New Year has been released online

If you are on a Christmas rush and short of cash but cannot afford to spend hours to the ATM slots because of kilometers-length of people who are already there, you do not have to wait for January before you can do banking.

It is because the schedule of banking hours for the Christmas holidays this 2016 and the operations for the New Year, meaning the first week of January 2017, has been released.

This year, there is a long holiday break following the declaration of President Rodrigo Duterte that the two Mondays following the Christmas eve and New Year’s eve (December 26 and January 2) are special non-working holidays.

Selected branches of Banco de Oro (BDO) Unibank will be open on shortened banking hours on December 24, 26, 30 and 31 and on January 2.

The company Facebook advised that BDO ATMS and Electronic Banking will continue to handle transactions and other services to their customers.

On the other hand, the Bank of the Philippine Island (BPI) and BPI Family Savings Bank will have an extended banking hours on weekdays in over a hundred branches nationwide as well as Saturday banking in selected branches.

On weekdays from December 5, 2016 until January 3, 2017, there will be 138 BPI branches and 35 BPI Family Savings Bank branches which will extended their operations until six in the evening.

Meanwhile, Metrobank will open selected branches to operate on shortened hours of operations on December 24, 26, 30 and 31.

Unlike its competitors, all Philippine Savings Bank (PS) Bank branches across the country will be closed on December 26 because of the Proclamation No. 117, declaring the day after Christmas Day as a special non-working holiday.

However, all the 611 ATMs will be online and PSBank Mobile, including PSBank Online will be available for transactions. Also, all payroll crediting on December 26 will go on.

PSBank also advised that accounts with due dates on December 26 will be debited on December 27 while the payments will be valued on its original due date and no penalties will be charged.

On the part of the Security Bank, all their branched will be closed on December 26 and the bank advised its customers to do their banking transaction on December 23, Friday, to avoid any inconvenience.

Please be advised that banking convenience during Christmas holidays is quite hard to achieve but it could be when you keep posted on the banks’ schedule of operations.
