Science and Technology has undeniably changed the world. Situations now, as compared to what the previous generations have before, are really different. Just like in any matter, there are both positive and negative effects.

One of the inventions that have greatly hooked the people is the mobile phone. Nowadays, almost every family has a member who owns a mobile phone. Even the gadget has come a very long way.

Before, mobile phones come with antennas and keypads. The transferring of files before can be done through the aid of an infrared connection. The screens before are black and white and the games in the phone, if ever there is, is just a simple one.

However now, mobile phones come with many features. The antennas are no long visible, the screens are colored and can be operated through a touch, a swipe, or a tap, the file transferring can be done through the help of SHAREit or a Bluetooth connection, and keypads have not turned into touchpads.

Aside from those features, the mobile phones now can be used in web surfing. Furthermore, a lot of applications are downloadable for a better utilization of the gadget.

Two of these applications are Uber app and the Grab app – the two ride-hailing apps known in several countries.

The Uber app is operated by the Uber Technologies which is an online transportation network company. It is based in San Francisco, California.

Meanwhile, Grab app is a ride-hailing company that provides services in several nations in Southeast Asia.

Recently, Top Gear released an article discussing the study made between Uber and Grab. The study is centered on which of the two is cheaper.

IPrice conducted the study and data were gathered from many cities within the Southeast Asia. The collected data were compared and analyzed.

After applying the methodologies in looking for the answer to the prior question, the result of the study revealed that for both long distance trips and short distance trips, Grab is cheaper than Uber.

According to the article, for short distance trips, Uber cost an average of $2.7 (P134) while with Grab, it is $1.9 (P95). For long distance trips, Uber cost an average of $6.6 (P329) while to Grab it would cost an average of $5.7 (P284).
