Almost every Filipino knows about Mary Jane Veloso who now faces a sad fate in Indonesia after she was arrested and sentenced to face capital punishment. Her case not only sparked national concern in the Philippines but as well as internationally.
Recently, the family of Veloso has been pleading to Pres. Rodrigo ‘Rody’ Duterte to help Mary Jane during the Philippine President’s official visit to Indonesia. Based on a previous report, even the Church pleaded to Pres. Duterte to save Veloso.
Pres. Duterte is known as a man who really hates drugs. The Philippine President showed respect towards the laws and processes implemented by the Indonesian government.
