Controversial Remarks Of Duterte Sparked Distress On U.S And Other Countries
President Rodrigo Duterte’s controversial remarks cause distress around the world, according to the America’s top diplomat.
Duterte’s Extra Judicial Killings (EJK) in the country amid his war on illegal drugs is the concern of Daniel Russel, the assistant secretary of state for East Asian and Pacific affairs said that he already communicates with Perfecto Yasay, Philippine Foreign Secretary.
Philippines is part of the three-nation trip of Russel in Southeast Asia and raise concern about US longtime ally Philippines. President Duterte takes over the position of being the Philippine president on June 30, 2016.
Previously, the president launched a series of tirades against the United States for criticizing his war on drugs. He also declares that he wants to cut the military and the economic ties between Philippines and United States.
