The DepEd admitted that they suspended the cl(–foul word(s) removed–) in Metro Manila based on the information from a fake account of a government agency.
The Department of Education (DepEd) asked for a public apology in connection to false information that they have posted online on class suspensions in Metro Manila on Thursday, October 20.
The class suspensions were to avoid the students from being harmed due to super typhoon Lawin which has pounded some parts in Luzon.
On Wednesday, October 19, Four provinces placed under public storm warning signal number 5 because of Lawin, with international name Haima, are Cagayan, Isabela, Kalinga and Apayao.

The agency initially announced that their Twitter account was hacked but later belies the content of their previous post.
