Kerwin Espinosa was arrested in Abu Dhabi were he hid from the eyes of Philippine laws.
The Department of Justice (DOJ) plans to have drug lord Kerwin Espinosa testify against Senator Leila de Lima in the House Committee on Justice inquiry on illegal drug trade inside the New Bilibid Prison (NBP).
Kerwin was arrested in Abu Dhabi, where he his from the eyes of Philippine laws, on early Monday morning.
He is tagged as the top drug lord in Eastern Visayas and said to have given payoffs to several protectors which allegedly include Senator De Lima.
According to Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre II, once Espinosa is brought home from Abu Dhabi, he shall be asked if he is willing to testify against former Justice secretary and now Senator De Lima.
