Lee-Yap Swap In Blockbuster Trade Approved By PBA Commissioner’s Office

PBA blockbuster trade, James Yap swap place with Paul Lee, approved by the PBA Commissioner’s Office on Thursday afternoon (October 13, 2016).

The star guard Paul Lee will ship to the Start Hotshots in exchange to the former two-time MVP James Yap. Also, Yap will be sent to the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters in an exchange with Lee in the blockbuster trade.

According to some reports, the blockbuster trade of Lee and Yap was approved by PBA Commissioner’s Office. The 27 years old, Paul Lee of Rain or Shine is one of the league’s top point guards today, he was also named Final MVP of their Commissioner title run this season, and he also won two titles for his team.

James Yap, 34 years old from Start Hotshots have won seven PBA titles since 2004, including the 2014 Grand Slam, 13 All-Star Game appearances and he had also won two season MVP crowns, aside from MVP awards. Lately, the playing minutes of Yap has decreased due to injuries but he assured that he can still deliver his new team “Rain or Shine” through his play.
