Freddie Roach, the coach of Manny Pacquiao revealed the reason why he turned down Terence Crawford for Manny and went for Jessie Vargas. In Fight Hub TV, Roach said that he wanted to see the training camp of Pacquiao for Vargas.

He wanted to observe the training of the boxing superstar if he can be a “fighting senator” because it is the first time that Manny do his training after his sessions in the senate. In Manny’s previous fight, he can focus on his training for his upcoming fights unlike to his current situation where he goes to practice after work.
