Philippine Warships Started To Build By Japanese Firm

Philippine warships were already start building by Japanese firm who bagged the P8.8 billion contract, the ship will be received by Philippine Coast Guard on September.

Japanese firm bagged the P8.8 billion contract to start building the first Multi-Role Response Vessel this September. The ship will be received by the Philippine Coast Guard. This week the warships had been already started to build according to Department of Transportation and Communications (DOTC).

The P8.8 billion contract can build 10 brand new warships that Japan Maritime United Corp. (JMU) had been already started. On February 06, 2016, in Yokohama, Japan, the keel laying and safety prayer ceremony leads by Transport Secretary Emilio Abaya who also led the Philippine delegation according to DOTC.

The steel cutting works are almost complete and elements are ready for assembly are called keel laying which is the first milestone in the construction of the warship. MRRV’s safety prayer ceremony for construction was held by Anzen-Kigan-Sai during a traditional Shinto ceremony.
