Senator Trillanes Defends Alleged Giving ‘Cue’ To Matobato

Senator Richard Gordon noticed that Edgar Matobato was looking to the direction of Trillanes and De Lima before he speaks, as if he was waiting for the cue.

Senator Antonio Trillanes IV gave his clarification to what was observed in the last Senate committee on Justice and Human Rights hearing where witness Edgar Matobato was noticed to be waiting for a cue before answering to cross examination.

Senator Richard Gordon has observed in the last session of investigation that Matobato was looking to the direction of Trillanes and Senator Leila de Lima before he would speak as he was grilled by senators in the investigation on extrajudicial killings under the Duterte administration.

Gordon believed that Matobato was waiting for a cue or a go signal from the two senators.

In an interview with Bombo Radyo, Sen. Trillanes said it might be that it is only him and De Lima that Matobato could trust that is why he would look to their direction before he would answer to questions, especially when he could not understand.
