Pia Wurtzbach’s secret plan to celebrate her birth anniversary at home was spoiled when her beauty queen friend had a slip of the tongue.
2015 Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach’s fans are eager and excited to see their beauty queen idol, should she celebrate her 27th birthday on September 24, Saturday, in the Philippines or not.
Nobody wondered about the venue of Wurtzbach’s celebration until reigning Miss United States of America, Deshauna Barber, slipped her tongue during their live Facebook chat in New York where the latter said that she could not wait that the former can once again visit her homeland.
Miss USA also said that she will not announce anything except that Pia will not be in New York to celebrate her 27th birthday.
“Your birthday is coming up and I have a surprise gift for you and I won’t tell you what it is cause I’m not good at surprises. But she’s gonna love it. ‘Cause you’re going to the Philippines, I can’t wait for you to get back”, said Barber.
“And booo!…… I’m not supposed to say that?”, asked Barber as Pia reacted with a laugh. “Anyway, she’s not going to be here on her birthday”, said Miss USA who shares the New York flat with Wurtzbach.
Pia then asked, “So you’re going to Manila?”. Barber promptly replied, “No, I’m not going!”. The Pinay beauty queen asked her again, “Is that your surprise?” which she answered with a “No”.
Pinay Miss Universe Pia only laughed after Barber unconsciously revealed her supposed to be secret but did not make any comment about her birthday plans.
A week before her special day, Pia admitted that she had not decided yet as to where to celebrate her natal day.
Meanwhile, the 26-year-old Cagayan de Oro beauty celebrated her ninth monthsary as the crowned Miss Universe and said that she is still thankful for it.
On January 30 in 2017, Pia will hand the crown to the next Miss Universe winner and she will do it before her kababayans (countrymen).
