Pacquiao and Vargas were calm on their face-off to promote their November fight in California.
Boxing champion Emmanuel “Manny” Pacquiao and Jessie Vargas were both calm on a press conference after their face-off at Beverly Hills hotel in California for the promotion of their November fight.
The Pacquiao-Vargas fight is set on November 5th to be held at Thomas & Mach Center in Las Vegas.
Both boxers wore their coat and tie with their trainers and Top Rank Big Boss Bob Arum.
Pacquiao, who is a neophyte member of the Philippine Senate, said that fighting Vargas is a big challenge for him because he has to prove he still has got what it takes to dominate the ring while he serves the Filipinos as a lawmaker.
He added that he has high regards to Vargas who is also a champion.
Meanwhile, Vargas said that to be called an “underdog” is not being taken personally by him and admitted that he is “used to it”.
Vargas holds a record of 27 wins, one loss and 10 knockouts while Pacquiao has 58 wins, six losses and two draws with 38 knockouts.
