7th Petitioner On Marcos Interment: Sen. Leila Says ‘No President has the power to rewrite history’

Sen. De Lima becomes the 7th petitioner who is against the move of transferring the remains of the late dictator at Libingan ng mga Bayani.

7th PETITIONER – Sen. Leila De Lima has recently filed a petition against the interment of the late dictator Ferdinand E. Marcos Sr. at Libingan ng mga Bayani.

As the 18th of September approaches, petitions in the Supreme Court increases in number. More and more oppositions are submitting legal challenges with the hope to block the interment of the late dictator at the resting ground for heroes and presidents.

Previous report states that there are government officials who visibly express that they are against the decision made Pres. Rodrigo Duterte to allow Marcos Sr.’s burial. One of them is Sen. Leila De Lima.

In a recent news report in Inquirer, Sen. De Lima has finally made up her mind and filed a separate petition in the High Court. The petition made mention that, “No President has the power to rewrite history” based on the report.
