WATCH: Philippine’s Madrigal Singers Wins Choral Competition in Italy

The Madrigal Singers topped the 64th International Choral Competition in Arezzo, Italy and the win qualified them to the European Grand Prix next year.

The famous Philippine Madrigal Singers proved to the world that the Philippines has got what it takes to be called the best when it comes to singing and stage performance.

In the 64th International Choral Competition held in Arezzo, Italy on Saturday, August 27,  the Madrigal Singers, popularly known as the “Madz”, earned another accolade as they won the Grand Prix.

Their win qualifies them for the European Grand Prix to be held in Tolosa, Spain in 2017.

The good news was shared by Chris Millado, Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) artistic director and vice president, on his facebook post.

“The Philippine Madrigal Singers have won the European Grand Prix twice”.

“If they are successful in their bid in Tolosa in 2017 this will make them the only choir in the world to win the Grand Prix 3 times! Mabuhay ang Philippine Madrigal Singers! Mabuhay ang artistang Pilipino”, stated on Millado’s facebook post.
