Woods To Be Use For Yolanda Housing Projects Blocked By Customs

Woods that will be used for Yolanda housing projects Blocked by customs in Cebu. The houses that will be given to the victims of Yolanda is being constructed but Bureau of Customs (BOC) blocked the woods that will be used for the project.

Nearly three years since the typhoon Yolanda struck Leyte still the residents of the place does not have a decent relocation site. The reason why their homes are not yet finished because customs hold the woods that will be used for the construction of their homes.

Erika Artuz, a resident from Barangay Makanip, Sitio Gapas, Jaro, Leyte, 16 years said that she is a daughter of one of the beneficiaries named Antonio Artuz. They are fortunate to be given a house by the Citizen’s Disaster Response Center (CDRC).

  1. What is going on???? Why are this people being deprived of decent houses or just a simple room to live. It’s been more than 3 years since the Disaster had happened, and they are still waiting. Do you have any “Conscience”, those people in the BOC. I think our President should interefere now and tell those people to release the necessary things for those poor people from Leyte. It is just shameful to hear just because of thinking of their own pockets, other people are suffering. I think what our President had announced that he will TRY to eliminate Corruption, we should be United and Support him 100 percent. MABUHAY ANG PILIPINO !!!!
