Two Witnesses Versus ‘Narco-Generals’ Now Under WPP – DOJ

DOJ assured that the two unnamed witnesses are under Witness Protection Program (WPP).

The Department of Justice assured that the two witnesses who testified against two police generals named by Pres. Rodrigo Duterte are already put under Witness Protection Program (WPP).

Two out of five generals, National Capital Region Police Office chief Police Director Joel Pagdilao and former Quezon City Police District head Chief Supt. Edgardo Tinio, are now facing administrative charges. They are .

Other generals who have been named by President Duterte are Chief Supt. Bernardo Diaz and retired generals Marcelo Garbo and Vicente Loot, who is current mayor of Daanbantayan town in Cebu.

DOJ Sec. Vitaliano Aguirre said: “We have WPP witnesses who are witnesses against the generals”.

But he refused to bare the names of the two witnesses.

The justice chief earlier admitted that the DOJ is conducting its own probe and evidence build-up against the generals.

The NAPOLCOM earlier said it found evidence to pin down two police officials in the drug trade.

All of the mentioned generals denied the allegations.
