Skydiver To Jump 25,000 Feet Without A Parachute

25,000 Feet Jump Without A Parachute

A skydiver is set to do a 25,000 feet jump without any parachute or any gliding apparatus.

Luke Aikins 25,000 feet

In a report by The Guardian, Luke Aikins has already made an amazing jump from 18,000 feet parachute on his 26-year career, but this time, he wanted to be remembered into another breath-taking event.

The 42-year-old skydiver was among the world’s elite skydivers. He will be jumping out of an airplane that will fly from 25, 000 feet over the Simi Valley, California, Saturday evening. He will hearing nothing but his clothes.

Aikins will be making a free-fall for about two minutes to become the first skydiver to land safely in a net below. He might reach the speed of about 120 Mph.

During the 16-second fall, he will be relying on his body alone and on wind currents just to land on a 100-by-100 foot net that is suspended 20 feet from the California desert. The height of the net would be enough to make his landing softer without having the possibility of bouncing out.

According to the report, Aikins is aiming to land on a specific spot, “right in the middle” of the net – an area that’s one-third size of a football field.

If I wasn’t nervous I would be stupid. ‘We’re talking about jumping without a parachute, and I take that very seriously. It’s not a joke,’ said Aikins as it will be aired on Fox. The two-minute free-fall will be broadcasted in the evening for the people to see to be a part of an hour-long TV special called “Heaven Sent”.

According to Aikins, he had been practicing for six months already completing over 200 practice that’s part of the meticulous planning and preparation.

Would Luke Aikins succeed on this breath-taking event he wanted to do? What do you think about this?
