In SONA 2016 President Duterte Greets De Lima
Yesterday (July 25, 2016) on the first SONA of President Duterte at the Batasang Pambansa everybody was surprised when he greet Senator Leila De Lima.
The president was walking in going to the stage when he turns and stops just to greet De Lima. The senator was surprised by Duterte’s approach.
“I was surprised. I was surprised because when he was several feet away from me, he just looked at me and he was serious. But when he was right in front of me, he extended his hand, approached me, smiled and he didn’t say anything. I just said, ‘Hi, Sir,’ to the delight of the audience,” she said.
