President Duterte on His Signing of Executive Order(EO) for Freedom of information(FOI)
Last Saturday (July 23, 2016) President Duterte signed the (EO) on (FOI) one day before his (SONA) State of the Nation Address. As Malacañang Palace announce yesterday (July 24, 2016), together with Secretary Martin Andanar.
As the president signed the EO with Secretary Andanar, Spokesperson Abella, and Special Assistant President Bong Go are present during his signing. The Presidential Communications stated on Facebook that Executive Branch will have transparency to ensure the public that the government is responsible for their job and for the people.
The Executive Order contains Pursuant to Section 28, Article II of the 1987 Constitution, the State adopts and implements a policy of full public disclosure of all its transactions involving public interests, subject to reasonable conditions prescribed by the law.
