Bagyong Ambo: LPA Enters PAR Saturday (June 25)

The possible first-ever typhoon, Bagyong Ambo might enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) as a Low Pressure Area (LPA). The tropical disturbance LPA might enter PAR today, June 25, 2016.

Bagyong Ambo

The LPA at Eastern Mindanao was last spotted at 1,165 kilometers East of Mindanao and became part of the Intertropical Convergence Zone or ITCZ that brought rains in some areas of Visayas and Mindanao.

In an interview with DZMM, PAGASA weather forecaster Aldczar Aurelio noted that there is still some possibilities that the LPA could develop into a Tropical Depression as it garnered strength at the Pacific Ocean.

Once the LPA will develop into a Tropical Depression it will be called as “Bagyong Ambo” the first typhoon to hit the Philippines this year 2016.

If the Tropical Depression hit the Philippines it will traverse through Eastern Visayas or Eastern Mindanao.
