Gilas Pilipinas’ predictions on NBA Finals 2016.
Powerhouse players and coaches of Philippine basketball team, Gilas Pilipinas weighed in on the upcoming match between Cleveland Cavaliers and Golden State Warriors on NBA Finals 2016.
Tab Baldwin, the head coach of Gilas Pilipinas has given his prediction about the upcoming game. He also announced support to his favored team, the Stephen Curry-led, GSW.
In an interview with Rappler.com, Baldwin gave his prognosis how long the best-of-7 series of NBA Finals 2016 will go.
“I don’t know. I don’t know if they’re good enough to beat Cleveland, they haven’t had any rest. I’m telling you who I’m for and my bad prediction is going to be Golden State in 5. It’s a bad prediction.”
“Jeff Cariaso is from San Francisco and I like to talk a lot of trash with the coaches I coach with so I told him Cavs are winning in 6,” Alex Compton, Gilas assistant coach and Alaska head coach said on the other hand.
“I’m not a betting man but we bet a Subway meal with chips and a Coke, footlong,” Compton happily specified. “I’m going Cavs in 6 because I have a bet with Jeff on it. Truth is, Golden State’s awesome. But hey, I want a free Sub so I’m going with Cavs in 6.”
“That is my prediction para mainis lang si (just to piss off) Jeff,” Alex Compton added.
Most of the Gilas cagers including San Miguel Beer’s June Mar Fajardo, Jayson Castro of Tropang TNT and Gilas cadet Ray Parks are rooting for LeBron James-team, Cavs.
Meanwhile, the NBA Finals 2016 Game 1 between Cleveland Cavaliers and Golden State Warriors will kick off tomorrow, Friday, May 3, 2016 (Philippine Time).
