These windmills, which were put up by a private investor Trans-Asia Renewable Energy Corp. (TAREC), is reported to provide 54 megawatts of electricity  by 2015 through Sta. Clara Construction Corp., the contractor.

In a report, there are 27 windmills in total together with wind turbines amounting P6.7 billion were constructed in San Lorenzo in the island Guimaras.

Now, just like in Ilocos, these windmills have become tourist attractions wherein one can experience being with these structures up close. Normally, the Guimaras windmills can be reached through jeepney rides.

Unlike in Ilocos, the Guimaras windmills were situated along farms and hills. Some of them were also near the roads. Thus, when tourists come for a visit and go sightseeing and picture taking, they commonly stopover the windmills.
