‘Flores De Pusher’ Supported By Duterte
The presumptive president Rodrigo Duterte backs the way of shaming drvg pushers done by Tanauan, Batangas Mayor Anthony Halili by doing the so-called Flores de Pusher.
In a report by ABS-CBN, Duterte even said that he won’t even comment on the incident and rather offer the Mayor legal advice and provide a lawyer for him if needed.
He added that will support the Halili’s actions to lessen the issue of having illegal substances in Tanauan.
“Kung ginawa niya, okay lang and I will support him. I’ll give him legal advice, a lawyer. Kasi ako, galit din talaga ako sa droga — baka hindi na kita i-parade, i-diretso na lang kita,” Duterte said as quoted in the report.
[It’s okay if he did it and I will support him. I’ll give him legal advice, a lawyer. Because personally, I’m also angry with drvgs – that I may not let you just in a ‘parade’, but rather ‘lead you to the way’.]
Meanwhile, the incoming president is even aware that these susp3cts should not be punished without due course and insisted that he never humiliated anyone in public in Davao City where he became a Mayor. But, he still supports what Halili did.
Halili, however, said that the suspects were given warnings before to stop their illegal activities, but they did not listen. He noted that the warnings were mailed to their residences.
In a report by GMA News, the majority of the residents showed their support towards the campaign of Mayor Halili, Flores de Pusher, and asked to include the ‘big-time’ ones.
